Job Title: Grad Assistant for Leadership Development

Job Description:
The Office of Student Activities is seeking a GA to assist with the support and growth of the Student Government Association and coordination of various leadership events, such as development of programs, workshops and retreats. The GA will serve as a role model for undergraduate students in supervision of events as assigned to insure compliance with University policies and procedures. The GA will work 20 hours per week during regular business hours with occasional hours outside of this schedule. OSAOL seeks an individual with a good work ethic, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and a commitment to issues related to diversity, as well as effective advisory skills. The GA must be self-motivated and able to function effectively with minimal supervision The candidate must be an energetic, self-motivated team player with sound judgment, management and problem-solving skills, flexibility and the ability to manage multiple projects. The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a strong commitment to customer service and the advancement of students. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal. Candidates may have the opportunity to begin earlier than the fall semester with spring or summer hours.
