Job Description:
The Department of Health and Sport Sciences is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the 2013 academic year with a possible one year renew. The Department Graduate Assistant will be assigned six credits of PHEC 106- Personalized Health Fitness per semester. (See course description below.) Instruction of PHEC 106 will occur under the supervision of Dr. Grady Armstrong, PHEC 106 Coordinator. Graduate Assistants will be required to attend weekly meetings with Dr. Armstrong and to complete 10 hours of Department related administrative tasks per week. PHEC 106 Course Description: Study and practice of principles that affect human health. Emphasis on physical fitness, stress management, nutrition and weight control with specific personalized techniques for optimizing health. The Department is seeking energetic, computer savvy individuals to fill this position. Qualified applicants must be certified in CPR/AED and have an earned Bachelors degree in a related field, i.e. Physical Education, Exercise Sciences, Athletic Training.
