There are so many resources for you on our webpage.  Some relate more to you than others.  Below are some links on our webpage that should be useful to you.

Go to Choosing a Majors (What You Can Do With a Degree In...) page.  This extensive page lists every major and job and careers associated with your major.  It also links to your academic checklists.
Go to Interest Inventories and Self Assessment Page.

Program Planning


Before we start, please open up 2 windows in Internet Explorer
-One is the website we are currently on.
-The other is to go to GullNet-Click

-Note: Do NOT use the back button in GullNet

What is Program Planning?
(Meet advisor-you prepare your academic schedule for the next semester and plan your short, long term academic goals.  Be honest with your advisor and let him/her know your thoughts)
-Give out Academic Advising Folders

Locating Your Advisor: (Who is Your Advisor?)
-Once you are in GullNet, (Click here to enter GullNet-use your GroupWise login-if you do not know your login you must go to Fulton Hall). 
-Follow this pathway to Find Your Advisor-(Home - Self Services (left screen) - Academic Records (left screen) - My Advisors (middle screen) 

Locating Your Advisor's Contact Information:
-Go to this website -http://www.salisbury.edu/directories/
(Write down your advisors office number, phone number and their email address and place in your folder)

Fulton, Henson and Seidel Schools Sign Up for Your Program Planning Appointment With Your Advisor:
-All students with the exception of those students in the Perdue School of Business will:
-Go to their Advisor's Office and sign up for an appointment with him/her between Oct 13-17 Priority Advising Sign Ups (when students sign up on advisors doors, etc). 
-Usually your advisor will have a "sign up sheet" with dates and times on his/her office door.
-The Perdue School of Business uses a different sign-up method which is below.

Fulton, Henson and Seidel Schools Program Planning Appointments.  Your Class Schedule Will be Developed at that Appointment:
-Oct 20-31 is Priority Advising (aka Program Planning)-Sit down with your advisor and plan out your schedule.

-What to Take With You to Your Program Planning Advising Appointment?

-Bring your colored Academic Advising Folder
-Bring paper and pencil
-Academic Checklist-Click here
-Bring your Degree Progress Report
-To access the Degree Progress Report, go to GullNet follow this pathway-Home (top right)- Self Services -  Degree Progress/Graduation (center screen)-View Degree Progress Report - Select Salisbury University in the Academic Institution box and select Degree Progress Report Std in the Report Type Box-Click on Go-File-Print and select the lab printer.
*Print and place this in your Advising Folder.

Perdue School of Business Sign Up for Your Program Planning Appointment:

-Program Planning for Lower Division Students (those students not admitted into the Professional Program)

-Program planning for lower division students is done in a group scheduling format. Group scheduling is for pre-professional students only (freshman, sophomores, and some juniors). Group scheduling happens twice a year the weeks prior to and including pre-registration.
-Students should sign up for an appointment time that fits their schedule on the workshops page. Sign ups start October 1st at http://www.salisbury.edu/perdueadvising/workshops/online_forms.asp.
-Once you have signed up for an appointment make sure you keep that appointment.  

The Perdue School of Business will Conduct "Group Advising" for Students on their Appointment date.  Your Class Schedule will be Developed at that Appointment.
-When you go to your group session bring the following:
*Bring your colored Academic Advising Folder
*Bring paper and pencil
*Academic Checklist-Click here
*Bring your Degree Progress Report/Academic Requirement Report

*During group scheduling the students schedule will be approved for the next semester and their registration window will be activated for enrollment. Student Business Leaders will present information about admission into the business school as well as course information. Additionally, Faculty Advisors and Student Business Leaders will be available for student questions. If students have questions after attending group scheduling they may make an appointment with their Faculty Advisor

-Perdue School freshmen or sophomores who have questions may contact their Faculty Advisor listed on their GullNet account for additional information and/or a meeting after attending Group Scheduling.

To Add/Change Classes After You and Your Advisor have Created Your Schedule:  
-Go to Gull Net-click here
-To view that in GullNet go to Home (top right)-Enrollment (left screen)-Add Classes-Class Search (Under find classes)-Search-Choose Course Subject and Undergraduate-Search-This will show you available classes.
