Health Communication
Employers
Health communications is a growing field and has various opportunities for
employment. You may begin as a health communication “generalist,”
doing soup-to-nuts communication planning for a nonprofit such as the
American Heart Association. You might enter the corporate world in media
relations for a biotech company. Or you might work as health
communication specialist for the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention. You will have all that you need
to be able to transition smoothly between for-profit and nonprofit
organizations. On many occasions graduate work may be required.
