Office Assistant – Guerrieri University Center Starting
January 25, 2010.
One Position Available Starting Pay: $7.25/hr; Flexible Schedule:
Tues - Thurs 1 pm – 5 pm, Fri 8 am – 5 pm; Maximum 16 hrs per week;
Primary job duties include, but are not limited to: Answer
incoming telephone calls; forward calls to appropriate
persons/departments; taking accurate phone messages;
Greet incoming guests/visitors in a professional and courteous manner;
Photocopying, sorting and distributing mail, making campus deliveries,
and other office duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Must be a full time Salisbury University student with a minimum GPA of
2.5; Must be dependable and have a professional attitude and work ethic;
Must have good customer service skills, especially with regards to the
ability to communicate with faculty, staff, students and visitors both
on the phone and in person; Must have good computer skills – GroupWise,
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Must be responsible for
assigned projects, team oriented and have the ability to prioritize,
multi-task and work independently. The Guerrieri University Center
Office includes the office of Technical & Event Services, Information
Desk, Building Managers and Housekeeping, Commuter Connections, GUC
Events and Off Campus Housing. Full time staff includes: Lawanda
Dockins-Gordy, Director; Karen Greer, Administrative Assistant; Brian
Lind, Facilities Coordinator; Coordinator of Technical Event Services
and Matt Hill, Multimedia Assistant. Once applications have been

The
Guerrieri University Center is seeking qualified applicants for a
Building Manager for evening hours. This position will start
in Spring semester with training beginning at the end of the Fall
semester. Building Managers are responsible for the over site of the
Guerrieri University Center from 4:30pm – 12:00am Monday – Friday and
8:00am – 12:00am Saturday and 12:00pm – 12:00am on Sundays. Candidates
should be available to work 15 – 20 hours a week. Starting pay for this
position is $8.00/hr. Building Managers report directly to the Guerrieri
University Center Facilities Coordinator and support the Facilities
Coordinator with the day-to-day operations of the building after normal
business hours. Building Managers are to supervise the building during
the evening and on weekends and ensure that all GUC policies and
procedures are enforced and that the mission of the University Center
and Salisbury University are observed. Additionally Building Managers
are required to ensure that all meeting rooms are set up properly for
reservations after 5:00pm, on weekends, and that the set ups are
completed for the following morning. Occasionally Building Managers will
be given special assignments and tasks by the Facilities Coordinator. In
the absence of the Facilities Coordinator and Desk Services Coordinator
the Building Manager is responsible for supervision of the Information
Desk and Attendants and provide direction to the housekeeping
staff. Qualifications: Full time Salisbury University Student. Minimum
2.5 GPA. Leadership experience. Excellent Customer Service and

Graduate
Assistant Position. The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art,
Salisbury University seeks a graduate assistant to assist with the
processing of field recordings, the gathering of materials for the
museum’s semiannual journal, and administrative duties. The subject
matter concerns traditional arts, cultural heritage, and the museum’s
collection of art and artifacts. The assistant should have special
experience in handling audiovisual media, including the creation and
editing of audio and video recordings and photography. The assistant
should have standard office computer skills, strong organizational and
writing skills, and attention to detail. The position involves contact
with local, regional, and state agencies concerning traditional and
cultural heritage projects. The ability to handle phone calls and
interact with the public is important. The candidate must have a valid
driver’s license. Work assignments will vary from week to week based on
the specific needs of the department. The workload will be 20 hours per
week, with approximately half dedicated to media specialist duties and
half to administrative duties. The stipend includes tuition waiver and
