Career Services conducts a "First Destination" Graduation Survey every
December and May.

Notes:
- The survey response rate ranges from 70-85% each
year and there are over 30 reports generated from this
survey.

- May 2009 was the last year we used Lenny Harris's
survey which was web-based and housed on a server in
Charlie's office-there was never any pre-registering of
graduating seniors
- May 2010 was the first year we used the GullNet
version of the survey. This survey is within GullNet
and students have to login to their GullNet accounts to
access the survey. This is the first year we had
students pre-register for the survey. There were a
total of 404 students who completed the survey prior to
picking up caps and gowns in the Bookstore.

8The First Destination Survey provides data concerning recent
Salisbury University graduates.
The data has been collected every spring since May 2003 (except for 2004).
The data
is collected by locating computer stations in the Bookstore while
students pick up their caps and gowns for graduation. By doing
this, the return rate
usually runs over 70%. The data is used to understand where our students
are working, where they are going to graduate school, did they do an
internship, etc. The SU First Destination Survey is a wonderful
snapshot of our students when they graduate.
