business schools assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in
business and management. It measures basic verbal, quantitative, and writing
skills and is available year-round at test centers worldwide. Of the
several thousand graduate management programs worldwide, nearly 1,700 use the GMAT

Graduate
Record Exam Testing Sites (GRE)
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE*) General Test is designed to provide
graduate schools with common measures for comparing the qualifications of
applicants. The exam measures verbal, quantitative, and analytical reasoning
skills that have been developed over a long period of time and that are not
related to any specific field of study. To schedule a testing date in Salisbury for the General (only) GRE, Contact:
Sylvan Learning Center, 240 Tilgman Road, 410-341-4100. You will need
a credit card to do this over the phone. Check and cash must be in
person. Call at least one week ahead to get the times you want.
Some graduate schools also require the subject exam. The GRE
Subject Testing is only given in paper and pencil format. Go to GRE's
website for further information and registration dates.
Scoring: In theory, any score above 550 for verbal and 700
for Quantitative can be considered acceptable.
