Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach
Ed is a Church Hill, TN native in his second year as a graduate student
working with the Salisbury Strength & Conditioning program. Ed is studying
to earn his MS in Applied Health Physiology with a focus in Strength &
Conditioning. He is an alumnus of Emory and Henry College (D3, SW VA) where
he received his undergraduate degree, a BS in Athletic Training in Dec 2011.
Ed began his time at SU as a paid intern in fall 2012, working mainly with
the varsity football team. He most recently spent a summer interning at
Athletes’ Performance in Frisco, TX. While at Athletes’ Performance he
assisted the staff working with elite level high school athletes, college
athletes, NFL veterans, pro soccer players, and Olympic athletes. Ed will be
coordinating and implementing our year round strength programs for the
freshmen football players, women’s soccer team, and volleyball team.
While at Emory & Henry, Ed was a 4 year letter winner playing OLB. During
that time he was a two time All-ODAC (2009 & 2011) performer and was also
named ODAC player of the week one time (2008). One interesting fact about
Ed, he is an avid NASCAR fan (Tony Stewart).
