What
is the Staff Senate?
The Salisbury University Staff Senate (SUSS) replaced the Staff
Advisory Council on July 1, 2000. The Executive Committee of the Senate
is comprised of 10 elected Senators representing non-faculty staff on
campus:
- 6 regular exempt Senators
- 2 regular non-exempt Senators (not covered by collective
bargaining)
- 1 contingent Senators
- 1 CUSS representative
The SUSS makes recommendations directly to the President on issues
related to the administration of the University and on the functional
support aspects of academic matters. Its responsibility is to consider
and make recommendations on university issues affecting non-faculty
employees, to communicate employee concerns to the President, and to
inform non-faculty employees of the university's related actions.
If you have an issue or concern for the Staff Senate, send us an email at
staffsenate@salisbury.edu or to
any member of the Executive Committee.
