Sproul Named to All-CAC Second Team

ALL-CAC WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAMS | SPROUL PROFILE
SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury junior Brandi Sproul (Owings Mills, MD/Franklin) was named to the All-CAC women’s soccer second team as the conference released their all conference squads today. She was a key contributor to the team all season as she started 12 of the 13 games in which she appeared. 

Sproul finished sixth on the Sea Gulls in scoring with five points. She also finished fifth on the team in shots with 24. 

Catholic University dominated the teams, with six on the first team and one on the second team. The Cardinals also swept the individual awards, as senior midfielder Laura Kaye was named conference Player of the Year, while teammate, freshman Suzie Peters, was named conference Rookie of the Year. Their coach, J.P. Sousa, was named conference Coach of the Year. 

Kaye led the conference in scoring with 46 points, a 2.30 points per game average, and tied with teammate Kate Rosenberg for the conference lead in goals scored with 19. Kaye was also second in the conference in assists with eight. Peters scored nine goals and one assists, good for 19 points for the Cardinals.
