Previous Page Sea Gulls roll over Gators, 8-0 The Sea Gulls (12-2-1) have recorded shutout wins in each of their last four wins as the maroon and gold have outscored their opponents 15-0. SU led 3-0 at halftime as senior Kate Weaver scored two first half goals and senior Sara Schmidt added one of her own. Weaver is now two points shy of tying Kathleen Tiedemann (89 points) for second most points all-time by a Sea Gull. She has 87 points and 36 career goals. The Gators (2-15) have been shutout 13 times this season as they had an own goal to kick start the second half for the Gulls. Junior Dana Passucci was created with the goal. Juniors Samantha Ash and Amanda Pizzillo each had second half goals along with freshman Samantha Kaufman and senior Erin Casey. The Sea Gulls have recorded the most wins in a season since 2002 when SU finished with a 12-7 mark. Junior Gena Goodson (8-2-1) started in net for the Sea Gulls but gave way early in the first half to fellow junior Kristin Greene who recorded the lone SU save. SU outshot the College of Notre Dame 28-1. The Sea Gulls will now await their pairing in the Capital Athletic Conference tournament which is slated to start Sunday, October 28. Salisbury finished the CAC regular-season with a 7-1 mark in first-place.
