Four second half goals propel Sea Gulls to victory
RANDOR, Pa
.- The Salisbury University women’s soccer team finished a perfect 2-0 in the Cabrini College Invitational as they beat the host school, Cabrini, 5-1 on Saturday afternoon in front a crowd of 165.

Salisbury (2-0) broke open a 1-1 game with four unanswered goals in the final 35 minutes of play. Seniors Kate Weaver (one goal, one assist) and junior Robyn Bishop scored back-to-back goals in a two-minute span for the Sea Gulls to take a 3-1 lead. SU then tacked on two unassisted strikes as senior Erin Casey netted her second goal of the year and Dana Passucci added her first of the season.

Bishop scored her first goal of the day at the 9:30 mark in the first half off a deflected corner kick to give the Gulls a 1-0 advantage. The midfielder now has a team-high eight points on four goals in two games.

Cabrini (1-1) posted its only goal in the 53 rd minute as Sabrini DeGisi scored off of a Collette Walsh assist.

Earning the victory in goal for SU was junior Kristin Greene (1-0) who allowed one goal and recorded one save in 90 minutes of play.

The Sea Gulls dominated the stat sheet as they outshot the Cavaliers, 21-3, and took six more corner kicks (7-1).

Salisbury will next be in action next Saturday (September 8) when the Sea Gulls travel to Collegeville, Pa., to take on Ursinus at 3 p.m.
