Salisbury Women's Lacrosse Ranked Fourth in IWLCA's Preseason Poll
February 13, 2004

With 18 letter-winners and 10 of last year's top 12 scorers returning from a team that finished 14-2 overall, the Salisbury University women's lacrosse team has been tabbed fourth in the IWLCA's 2004 preseason poll. Salisbury claimed its third Capital Athletic Conference championship in four years and advanced to the national quarterfinals of the NCAA's Championship Tournament in 2003 while also establishing a new team record with a 12-game winning streak.

"Our goals are to win the conference championship again and advance another step further in the national tournament," said third-year Head Coach Jim Nestor. "We have a couple of areas we need to solidify during the preseason, like our midfield depth and settling on our defensive starters and goalie, but we have a lot of returning letter-winners who gained good experience last year."

The Sea Gulls open the 2004 season at home against Catholic on February 25.
