IWLCA ranks Sea Gulls preseason No. 7
SALISBURY, Md. – The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its 2007 Division III preseason poll this week as it named the Sea Gulls tied for seventh place with Franklin & Marshall.

Salisbury faces four of the Top 10 teams in the IWLCA preseason poll, No. 1 The College of New Jersey, No. 3 Amherst, No. 5 Middlebury and No. 7 Franklin & Marshall. In addition the Sea Gulls face No. 21 Colorado College and No. 24 Ursinus.

The Capital Athletic Conference is represented by three teams as Mary Washington is preseason No. 12 and St. Mary’s (Md.) is No. 13.

The Sea Gulls were also ranked in a publication earlier this year as Lacrosse magazine tabbed Salisbury No. 3.

Salisbury opens up its season Thursday, February 22, at 3 p.m. as it hosts Christopher Newport University.
