Sea Gulls Place Three on 2004 All-CAC Volleyball Team
Petrecca, Mister Receive First Team Honors

Capital Athletic Conference champion Salisbury University had two players named
to the all-conference first team and another named to the second team in voting
by the CAC's head coaches.
Sophomore setter Abbey Petrecca (Baldwin, MD/Perry Hall HS), last year's
CAC Rookie of the Year, was named to the six-player first team along with junior
outside hitter Brittany Mister (Prince Frederick, MD/Calvert HS).
Junior outside hitter Lindsay Lawson (Baltimore/Dulaney HS) was named to
the second team. Salisbury's Head Coach Margie Knight was also selected
by her peers as the CAC's co-Coach of the Year award winner.
Petrecca finished with1312 assists for the Sea Gulls in 2004, while also adding
184 kills and 444 digs. She registered the second highest single-season assist
total in Salisbury history.
Mister finished second on the team in both kills, 399, and digs, 454. She
also led the Gulls with 58 service aces and a team-best .243 hitting percentage.
Lawson was Salisbury's overall leader in kills, with 429, while finishing second
on the squad with 56 aces and fourth with 243 digs.
Knight earns her second conference coach of the year honor, having also won the
award in 1998. The Sea Gulls have had at least one all-CAC first team selectee
in each of Knight’s eight seasons.
Salisbury finished 25-12 overall while advancing to the NCAA Championship
Tournament for the third time in school history.
Rementer Earns CoSIDA Academic Award

Senior defensive specialist Kim Rementer (Denton, MD/North Caroline HS)
has been named to the 2004 Academic All-District II volleyball first team, as
selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Rementer, who carries a 4.0 grade point average as a psychology major, returns
to the six-player first team for the second straight season.
Rementer led the Sea Gulls with 679 digs in 2004, posting the third highest
single-season total in team history. With 1,349 career digs, she also concluded
her four-year career ranked fourth on Salisbury's all-time list.
The District II squad is selected from all NCAA Division II and III colleges and
universities in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and
Washington, DC. As a first team member, Rementer is now on the ballot for the
national Academic All-America team, to be announced in December.
