* Salisbury (18-17 overall) won the Capital Athletic Conference championship for the second time in three years to capture the CAC’s automatic bid to this year’s NCAA Tournament.  SU defeated Catholic 3-1 (15-10, 6-15, 15-8, 15-7) in the CAC championship match on Saturday, following earlier victories over St. Mary's (3-0) in the quarterfinal round and Marymount (3-2) in the semifinals.

* The Sea Gulls bring a four-match winning streak – their longest of the season - into the tournament. SU has also won five of its last six and seven of its last nine matches.

* Four members of this year’s team: Donna Hudson, Kara Kowalski, Katie Korreck, and Sara Teter were also members of the 1998 NCAA Tournament squad.

* Salisbury ranks second in three team categories in the conference statistics: hitting percentage (.200), service aces (2.41/game), and digs (19.75/game).
