Petrecca, Mister Named to All-CAC Teams

ALL-CAC VOLLEYBALL TEAMS | PETRECCA PROFILE | MISTER PROFILE
SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury volleyball team, following at 26-10 season, had two athletes named to all-conference squads, the CAC released on Tuesday.  Junior Abbey Petrecca (Baldwin, MD/Perry Hall)
(left) was named to the first team, while senior captain Brittany Mister (Prince Frederick, MD/Calvert) (right) was named to the second team. 

Petrecca finished the season with 151 kills, fifth on the team and led the Sea Gulls with 1283 assists. She also led the Gulls in service aces with 67. She finished the season with 175 career service aces to move into fifth on Salisbury’s career service aces leaders.  

Defensively, Petrecca was second on the team with 392 digs. She now has 1,147 career digs, moving her to sixth on Salisbury’s career digs leaders. 

Mister finished the season with 367 kills to lead the Gulls offensively. She surpassed 1,000 career kills in the second game of the season and finishes her Salisbury career with 1,352 career kills, finishing second on Salisbury’s career list in kills, behind Donna Hudson (1997-00).  

Mister also finished the season with 50 service aces. She finishes her Salisbury career with 252 service aces, moving her to third on Salisbury’s career leaders in that category. 

Defensively, Mister recorded 479 digs to lead the Sea Gulls defensively. She finishes her Salisbury career with 1,769 career digs, moving her up to second place in Salisbury’s career digs leaders behind Kara Kowalski (1998-01). 

Gallaudet’s Charity Sanders won Player of the Year, while her coach, Lynn Ray Boren was named Coach of the Year. St. Mary’s Rebecca Tursell was named Rookie of the Year.
