named CAC Volleyball Player of the Year Krebs and Long led the Sea Gulls to their first CAC championship since 2004 with a 28-10 record and 7-1 mark in conference. Salisbury received the automatic berth into the NCAA tournament for winning the CAC and was assigned to the Haverford regional where the Sea Gulls will face Christopher Newport University on Thursday, November 8 in a first round match. Krebs becomes the first Sea Gull to win the CAC Volleyball Player of the Year award since 2000 when Katie Korreck was honored. This is only the third time in school history that a Sea Gull has been honored with this award. Krebs leads the team and CAC in kills (550) and kills per game (4.66). The Eldersburg, Md. native has made 332 digs, 72 blocks and 25 service aces in 33 matches played. Krebs set the SU single-season record for kills in a season as she continues to move up the all-time career kills leaderboard where she is currently fourth. Long is the team's defensive specialist as she leads the team in digs with 755, which is second best in the conference and the most in a single-season for SU. The Bel Air, Md. native also leads the CAC in service aces (78) and games played (134). This is the first time Long has made an All-CAC team in her two-year career at Salisbury. • 2007 All-CAC volleyball teams (PDF)
