SU women sweep Goucher and York (Pa.), men split
YORK, Pa. -
The Salisbury University women's swim team swept York (Pa.) College and Goucher College Saturday afternoon while the men's team defeated Goucher but fell to the Spartans in York, Pa.

SU's women's team (3-4, 2-2 Capital Athletic Conference) swept both teams with a 112-91 win over the Gophers from Goucher and a conference victory over York (Pa.), 119-83. The Sea Gulls were led once again by freshman Becky Akers who won the 1,000 yard freestyle race in a time of 11:18. Freshman Katy Turner also helped the Sea Gulls as she won the 200 yard IM in 2:19.

Salisbury's men's team (3-4, 2-2 CAC) defeated Goucher, 160-28, but lost to conference foe York (Pa.), 138-65. SU was led by freshman Drew Robichaud who won the 1,000 yard free in a time of 10:41. In the 200 yard free junior Ben Overholt and senior Ross Spangler finished first and second, respectively, with times of 1:52 and 1:53.

Salisbury is off until January when the Sea Gulls welcome Hood College to the Maggs Center for a Capital Athletic Conference meet at 2 p.m. on January 5.
