Waskewicz named Easton All-American
VAN NUYS, Calif.
- Salisbury University freshman Kelly Waskewicz added to her already
impressive resume as she was named to the
2007 Easton softball All-American third team. She has
already been
named a Division III All-American, Capital Athletic Conference
Player and Rookie of the Year, and an All-CAC first team selection. The Easton
All-American teams are comprised of student-athletes across all
three NCAA
divisions.
Waskewicz
(Olney, Md.) was the best hitter on the 14th ranked Salisbury team that finished
the year ranked 1st in the nation in home runs, 8th in batting average, 3rd in
slugging percentage and 4th in scoring. Waskewicz leads the team in 10 offensive
categories; at-bats (164) runs (61), hits (68), doubles (14), triples (4), home
runs (17), RBIs (50), total bases (141), slugging percentage (.860) and stolen
bases (6). The freshman is currently the school single season leader in home
runs (17) and is tied for single season runs scored (61) for SU.
