Salisbury softball breaks into the NFCA Top 25
SALISBURY, Md. –
The Salisbury University softball team, winners of its last 13 games including their 11th straight Capital Athletic Conference championship, found a spot in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 rankings, released Wednesday (May 2), for the first time this season. Salisbury is ranked No. 21 in the country.

The Sea Gulls (36-7) captured their 12th CAC title on April 22 as they beat Catholic 12-11 in nine innings.

Salisbury has been ranked as one of the most potent offenses in country all season long. SU is ranked eighth in the country in batting average (.367), fourth in scoring (8.44), second in home runs per game (1.39) and second in slugging percentage (.606). The Sea Gulls shattered the school record for home runs (old record was 31) as the maroon and gold have blasted 59 homers this season.

SU will wait to see if it will make the NCAA Division III tournament which will be announced on Sunday, May 6.
