Previous Page Teams brave cold as Sea Gulls win 21-0 SALISBURY, Md. - The softball teams for Salisbury University and the College of St. Elizabeth braved 18-26 mph winds, freezing temperatures and light snow on St. Patrick's Day here Saturday afternoon. Salisbury scored 13 first inning runs en route to a 21-0 four inning shutout. Salisbury (12-4) scored its most runs in three years as nine different Sea Gulls had hits in the win that saw the Eagles (0-2) commit 10 errors. Four Sea Gull batters had multiple hit games; junior Kurisha Hoffman, sophomores Brittany Sullivan and Meaghan O'Gara and freshman Jen Cahall. Sophomore Stacey Malarkey provided the games only home run as she hit her fourth of the season in the first inning. SU pitcher Kortni Pedlow (2-0) earned the win as she hurled two innings of shutout ball. The Eagles got their only hit in the top of the first. Salisbury will host Capital University tomorrow (Sunday, March 18) in an 11 a.m. doubleheader.
