Salisbury to host CAC tournament

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. -
The Capital Athletic Conference softball tournament returns to Salisbury, Md., where the top-seeded Sea Gulls will play host to the weekend tournament at Sea Gull Field. Salisbury (23-7, 7-1 CAC) earned the No. 1 seed after it split a doubleheader with No. 2 seed York (Pa.) College on Saturday.

Salisbury has won 10 straight CAC championships and 11 overall since joining the conference in 1995.

The tournament kicks-off Wednesday, April 18, with a play-in game between No. 4 seed University of Mary Washington and No. 5 seed Gallaudet University. The winner of that game will face the Sea Gulls on Saturday, April 21, at Noon. The Spartans (15-15, 5-3 CAC) will play No. 3 seed Catholic University (15-15, 4-4 CAC) on Saturday at 10 a.m. The winners and losers of these games will then play an afternoon game in the double-elimination tournament.

The action will continue on Sunday, April 22, with the first game beginning at 10 a.m.
