Salisbury ranked in region poll along with Nicholson, Kincaid
SALISBURY, Md. -
The Intercollegiate Tennis Associate (ITA) released its polls for the Atlantic South Region rankings and the Salisbury University men’s tennis team (5-0 overall) is sitting steady at No. 8 Sophomore Matt Nicholson, the No. 1 singles player for the Sea Gulls, and the No. 1 doubles team of Nicholson and junior Brendan Kincaid both cracked the Top 15.

On the singles side, Nicholson (8-1, 1-0 CAC) is ranked 14th and is one of only two players from the Capital Athletic Conference to be ranked. The other is University of Mary Washington’s John James who is ranked second.

The doubles team of Nicholson and Kincaid are the top ranked CAC team in the region and ranked No. 6 in the Atlantic South. Nicholson and Kincaid are 9-0 overall this season and 5-0 in match play. The other CAC doubles team ranked is Mary Washington’s team of James and Zach Detweiler who are No. 10.
