James Lawson returns for his fifth season as the top assistant for the Salisbury University men’s soccer program.  Lawson, who joined the Salisbury University soccer staff in the spring of 2000, spent 1999 as an assistant coach at Hiram College.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, he also served as a coach with both the boys and girls program at W.T. Woodson High School (VA).  While at Woodson, both the boys and girls teams won Virginia state championships.

Lawson is involved in practice preparation, recruiting and has developed an effective game film review session, as well as the season highlight DVD.  Lawson is actively involved in various summer soccer camps throughout the region and is regarded as an outstanding clinician.
