Salisbury 79, Gallaudet 72

Salisbury, Md - Freshman forward Sean Whittaker scored a team-high 20 points, including five of seven three-pointers, to lead Salisbury to a 79-72 Capital Athletic Conference win at home over Gallaudet.  Freshman guard Ray Williams added 17 points, freshman guard Segun Odumeru added 14 points and junior forward Damion Gibbs finished with 12 points to lead Salisbury (6-14, 3-8 CAC) to its second straight win.

Gallaudet (7-15, 1-10 CAC) dropped its eighth straight game, despite a game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds by sophomore forward Robert Haney. Sophomore guard Brendan Stern added 17 points, including four treys, for the Bison. Junior center Bradley Miller finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Salisbury led 34-30 at halftime and never trailed in the second half while shooting 60% from the field (12 of 20) in the second half.  SU's largest lead was 13 points at 48-35. Gallaudet pulled to within four at 68-64 with 2:35 left, but would get no closer.  Salisbury closed the game by converting nine of nine free throws over the final 2:29.

Women's Basketball

Salisbury, Md - Freshman forward Julia Waters tallied a team-high 20 points and four other Sea Gulls also added double-figure points as Salisbury registered it highest scoring total of the season in a 104-40 CAC victory over Gallaudet.

Salisbury (12-10, 6-5 CAC)  led 46-21 at halftime, opened the second half with an 18-0 run and outscored the Bison 58-19 in the final 20 minutes. Junior guard Stephanie Szkaradnik added 15 points and eight rebounds off-the-bench for Salisbury. Guard Christen Barney and forward Megan Dowdy added 11 points apiece.

Sophomore forwaqrd Charity Sanders led Gallaudet (2-20, 0-11 CAC) with a game-high 23 points and team-high eight rebounds.
