The
Series
Salisbury took the series lead, 17-16, with
a 30-24 victory in 2005. The teams have met every year since 1973, Salisbury's
first full varsity season. The Sea Gulls controlled the series for the first 15 seasons, including seven wins in-a-row
from 1982-1988. Frostburg closed the gap by winning 10 of 11 games
from 1989-1999. The teams played the first
overtime game in series history in 2001, with FSU winning 30-27 at RFK
Stadium. The 2004 game marked the sixth straight to be played at a
neutral site.
