State claimed the second annual Regents Cup with an 18-8 win over
cross-state rival Frostburg at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.
QB Mac Mollet (86 yards) and FB Reggie Boyce (80 yards) each rushed for
one touchdown and PK Paul Jacko added field goals of 21 and 22 yards for the Sea
Gulls.
The SSU defense limited Frostburg to170 total yards on the day.

Junior LB Pat Brannan, the ACFC's
leading tackler, and sophomore RB Tony Ellis, the
league's leading rusher, were named to the all-conference first team in voting
by the ACFC's
head coaches. In addition, freshman QB Mac Mollet was tabbed as the
ACFC's co-Rookie
of the Year. Six other Sea Gulls were named to the all-conference second
team.
