Kincaid
Named ACFC Special Teams Player of Week
Salisbury, Md.
– Salisbury junior
place kicker Brendan Kincaid was honored by the Atlantic Central Football
Conference today as he was named the ACFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
The Cambridge,
Md., native was two-for-two on his field goal chances (28, 33 yards) and perfect
on both point after attempts he took as Salisbury defeated No. 15 Washington &
Jefferson, 32-14, on the road. Besides his kicking performance Kincaid also made
a huge play on a kickoff. Kincaid, who is missing his right arm from the elbow
down, made a touchdown saving tackle on a W&J return.
Kincaid is also
the No. 1 men’s tennis singles player for SU. He finished the 2006 year ranked
No. 32 in the country. He advanced to the NCAA National Tournament where he lost
in straight sets to California Lutheran University’s Karlo Arapovic, 6-4, 6-4.
He was recently profiled on Fox Sports’ NCAA On Campus show for his play
on the tennis court and football field.
The ACFC Offensive
Player of the Week went to Wesley quarterback Chris Warrick and Apprentice
School wide receiver Travis Reid. Wesley linebacker Brandon Huntbach was named
Defensive Player of the Week and Apprentice School linebacker Thomas Moultrie
was selected as the ACFC Rookie of the Week.
Salisbury junior
nose guard Joe Galloway and sophomore superback Ronnie Shockley
were named to the honor roll for their respective positions.
