Curley named ACFC offensive player of the week
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. –
The Atlantic Central Football Conference named its players of the week for Week One and Salisbury University junior quarterback Ronnie Curley was named Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Albright College last Saturday.

The Ellicott City, Md., native ran for 102 yards on seven carries and scored touchdowns of 11 and 34 yards in the first quarter. Curley finished the game with 110 yards on 10 carries and added one completion for 11 yards as he led the Sea Gulls to a 42-12 win over the Lions.

Salisbury junior Jarrell Chandler (defense) and sophomore Nick Soussanin (special teams) each earned honorable mention honors. Chandler finished the game with nine tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks for a loss of 26 yards and a blocked extra point. Soussanin returned the opening kickoff of the second half 83-yards for a touchdown and had 62 yard punt return.

The Sea Gulls return to action on Saturday, September 8, as they visit SUNY Brockport for the conference opener.
