SU drops two spots, again, in recent STX/NFHCAA poll
SALISBURY, Md. –
The Salisbury
University field hockey team dropped two spots to No. 6 in the STX/National
Field Hockey Coaches Association poll released on Tuesday, October 10.
The Sea Gulls
(9-3) did not receive any first-place votes as 32 of 42 votes went to top-ranked
The College of New Jersey.
The Gulls have
lost three straight games. The most recent, a 1-0 defeat at home versus
Catholic, was the first Sea Gull loss at home since 2000.
Salisbury travels to take on Goucher in a Capital
Athletic Conference game on Tuesday, October 10 and then prepares for No. 1 TCNJ
at home on Saturday, October 14. The College of New Jersey will be the second
top-ranked team that the Sea Gulls face this season.
The Sea Gulls lost
1-0 to former No. 1 Messiah on the road back on September 30.
