Salisbury places two on Senior All-Star team
SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury University field hockey senior co-captains
Tracey Lloyd and Megan Powell were named to the 2006 National Field
Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior All-Star Team.
The 2006 NFHCA Division III
Senior All-Star Game will be played on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at William
Smith College in Geneva, NY. The game time is slated 9:30 a.m.
The two players have been main
fixtures on the three national championship teams for the Sea Gulls since 2003.
Lloyd, a midfielder, is a
two-time All-American, All-CAC and All-South Region selection. The Delmar, Md.
native also ranks 12th on the Salisbury all-time goals list and 13th on the
career points scored list.
Powell, a forward, is a
two-time All-South Region selection and a All-CAC second team player last
season. She has been named to the last two NCAA Division III All-Tournament
teams. She is also rapidly climbing the all-time scoring lists at SU. The
Elkton, Md. native stands third on career goals and points list.
