Hancock earn CAC field hockey awards; six Sea Gulls on first team This is the first time since 2003 that the maroon and gold have had the Player of the Year and the Rookie of the Year in the same season. Twilley, a two-time first team All-CAC performer, has scored 12 goals and added five assists from her defensive back position. The Delmar, Del., native is 5-of-7 on penalty strokes and has recorded one defensive save on the year. The Sea Gulls have earned 11 of the last 12 CAC Player of the Year awards dating back to 1996 and have won six straight from 2002 to present. Four of the last six winners for SU have been from Delmar, Del. Hancock is the team leader in assists with 10 and has added five goals on the year. She currently sits behind Twilley with 20 total points to rank fourth on the team. Twilley has registered 29 points on the year. The sophomore scoring tandem of Beverly Beladino and Lauren Correll each earned a spot on the first team at forward. Correll ranks first on the team and the conference in goals (21), goals per game (1.11), points (45) and points per game (2.37) while Beladino ranks second in the same categories. Sophomore Michelle Rowe joins Hancock as first team midfielders. Rowe ranks second on the team with seven assists and has added one goal on the year. The final first team selection is senior Kristina Holland who has a team-high nine defensive saves. In addition to her defense, she has scored one goal and dished out three assists. Holland and Twilley are both first team selections on defense. Goalie Maria Ramoundos earned her first All-CAC selection as she garnered a spot on the second team. Ramoundos ranks third in the country with a 0.61 goals against average and ranks eighth in the country with a 0.861 saves percentage.
