The Salisbury University field hockey team is in the midst of its 14th consecutive winning season in 2007 as the maroon and gold captured the program's 13th straight Capital Athletic Conference championship (1995-2007). The Sea Gulls are recognized as one of the nation's elite in Division III as they have totaled four National Championships (1986, 2003, '04, '05) along with 10 final four appearances and trips to the NCAA postseason in 23 of the last 24 seasons. SU coach Dawn Chamberlin reached the 300 win plateau in '06.

Chamberlin named NFHCA South Region Coach of the Year
GLEN ALLEN, Va. - Salisbury University field hockey coach Dawn Chamberlin was named the 2007 Dita/National Field Hockey Coaches Association NCAA Division III South Region Coach of the Year on Wednesday afternoon.

In her 21st season, Chamberlin guided Salisbury to a 20-2 record and a 6-0 Capital Athletic Conference mark. The team won its 13th straight CAC championship along with making its 20th NCAA tournament appearance in the last 21 years.
