Men and Women Take 7th, Sullivan Sisters Qualify for Nationals
WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Salisbury University men’s and women’s cross country teams both placed 7th at Waynesburg College in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on Saturday morning. The Sea Gulls had four runners, Eric Graves, Buck Stokes, Kelly Sullivan, and Glenna Sullivan, named to the NCAA All-Region team as each runner finished in the top 35 of their division. Bill Nastasiak was also named to the NCAA Freshman All-Region team.

The SU women runners took 7th place out of 46 different teams with 227 points. The sophomore sisters both placed in the top 10 with Kelly in third (23:33) and Glenna in sixth (23:43). Along with both being named All-Region, they will both be representing Salisbury University in the NCAA Division III Nationals in Wilmington, Ohio. The other runners all finished under 27 minutes with sophomore Jenn Bulger (25:42) 61st, junior Zuzka O'Zwoldike (26:11) 78th, freshman Emily Hammonds (26:15) 81st, sophomore Amanda Hill (26:19) 86th, and sophomore Amy Demichelle (26:46) 108th.

The Salisbury men’s team also took 7th place out of 44 teams and scored 228 points. The top two finishers for the guys were Graves (27:15) in 26th and Stokes (27:29) at 32nd. The two juniors led an impressive team effort and were awarded NCAA All-Region. Senior Will Murduch finished strong with a time of 27:40 good enough for 38th place. All-Region freshman, Nastasiak, finished at 28:11 in 60th place which placed him among the top 15 freshman runners in the race.  The other men’s results are sophomore Josh Michael (28:24) 72nd, junior Carl Blickle (29:15) 108th, and freshman Dustin Yourstone (29:19) 114th.
