Men finish second, women third at Elizabethtown
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Senior Eric Graves continued his impressive run of first place finishes as he ran the 6k race in 19:07 to lead the Salisbury University men’s cross country to a second place finish at the Elizabethtown Invitational.

The women took third place overall as the maroon and gold had two runners finish in the top 10. Senior Casey McInerny placed fifth with a time of 15:06 in the 4k race while junior Kelly Sullivan ran a 15:07 to place sixth.

Junior Zack Dickerson finished sixth overall in the men’s race with a time of 19:44. Senior Buck Stokes and freshman Sam Boimov both finished in the top 20 as the two Sea Gulls finished 8th and 19th, respectively.

Stokes ran a 19:45 while Boimov crossed the finish line at 20:11. The men were beat out by Division II Shippensburg University but managed to hold off Capital Athletic Conference rival Mary Washington who finished third.

Senior Zuzka O’Zwoldike, junior Jenn Bulger and freshman Kristin Stromberg finished 19th, 33rd and 36th place each, respectively as they ran times of 15:42, 16:09 and 16:16 to help the Sea Gulls finish third overall.

Shippensburg University also took first in the women’s race while Elizabethtown finished in second place.

The Sea Gulls return to action on Saturday, November 3, as they travel to York, Pa. to take part in the Capital Athletic Conference championships. The women have won three straight CAC crowns while the men have taken the last two championships.
