Sea Gulls jump 18 spots to No. 8 in latest national poll
SALISBURY, Md.
- The latest America Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III baseball poll was released Monday and Salisbury University cracked the top 10 as it jumped 18 places to No. 8 in the country.

Salisbury (20-3, 3-1 CAC) is off to its best start under head coach Doug Fleetwood as the Sea Gulls have outscored its opposition by eight runs per game on average. The Sea Gulls are hitting a Capital Athletic Conference leading .367 at the plate and hold opponents to a .204 average. SU also spots a team ERA of less than two (1.91).

The Gulls are also ranked No. 2 in their South Region behind only Emory College who is fourth overall.

This season the Gulls have had three different CAC Players of the Week and a team best 13-game winning streak to highlight the first half of the season. SU now turns its attention to conference play the next two weeks before the CAC tournament.

The next ABCA poll will be released on April 9.
