Sea Gulls ranked No. 21 in preseason poll
SALISBURY, Md. –
After it finished the 2006 season with a school record 37 wins, the Salisbury University baseball team has been selected No. 21 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper preseason top 30 poll.

The Sea Gulls advanced to their seventh consecutive NCAA Division III Regional Tournament in ’06 and won their fifth Capital Athletic Conference title in the last seven years.

The 2007 schedule features the No. 3 ranked Montclair State Redhawks, the No. 8 ranked College of New Jersey Lions, the No. 39 ranked York College (Pa.) Spartans and the No. 40 ranked Methodist College Monarchs.

Salisbury climbed as high as No. 5 in the nation last year, before it finished the season at No. 18 with a record of 37-10.

The Sea Gulls open up their ’07 season on Sunday, February 11 against Virginia Wesleyan College on the road at 1 p.m.
