Salisbury performs well in last tune-up before CAC championships
WEST CHESTER, Pa. -
The Salisbury University track and field teams traveled to West Chester University on Saturday for the Golden Ram Meet where several Sea Gulls performed well a week before the Capital Athletic Conference championships.

Junior Eric Graves came in first in the 1,500 meter run where he set a new personal record with a time of 4:03.54. Graves leads the conference in the 1,500 and 5,000 meter runs. Sophomore Bobby Price came in second place in the high jump when he cleared 6-2. Freshmen Christian Adami threw the javelin 175-6 to come in second. Fellow freshman Dustin Yourstone finished second to Graves in the 1,500 meter run (4:16.28) 13 seconds off his time. Three Sea Gulls Sam Singleton (400 meter dash, 49.87), Josh Michael (800 meter run, 1:56.49) and Adam Tedford (pole vault, 12-8.75) got third-place in their respective events.

On the women's side, sophomore Jenn Bulger came in first in the high jump (5-1.75) and second in the 100 meter hurdles (17.78). Sophomore Rachel Knapstein tied for first place in the pole vault as she clear over 10 feet (10-2.5).

Salisbury will host the 2007 Capital Athletic Conference championships on Saturday, April 21, at the SU track and field complex. The event will begin at 10 a.m. Salisbury's men's team is seeking its fourth straight CAC championship in a row and ninth overall.
