of 'Last Chance Meet' Sophomore Kelly Sullivan continues to dominate the 3000 meter steeplechase. On Monday, Sullivan ran a new school record of 10:48.84 as she finished in first. She missed the automatic qualifying mark for the NCAA championships by .84 tenths of a second. Her time is currently ranked in the top six in the nation and should allow her to advance to nationals at the end of May. Sullivan set the school record of 10:56.74 when she won at the CAC championships back on April 21. Freshman Victoria Lawson was third in the 400 meter dash but her time of 56.42 broke her own school record she set at the Emory Invitational on March 24. Her time provisionally qualifies her for nationals and is currently ranked in the top 10 in the country. Freshman Delannie Spriggs won the 100 meter dash with a new personal record time of 10.72. Spriggs' time provisionally qualifies him for the NCAA championships and ranks him in the top 25 nationally. On the women's side, sophomore Jenn Bulger finished third in the high jump (5-1), junior Casey McInery was fourth in the 1500 meter run (4:44.15) and sophomore Glenna Sullivan set a new personal record in the 5000 meter run with a fifth place time of 18:35.92. Sophomore Bobby Price finished first in the high jump as he cleared 6-4 to win the event. Price, who has already provisionally qualified for the NCAA championships, will have to wait one more week to see if his mark of 6-7.5 will hold up and send him to Wisconsin for nationals. Freshman Bill Nastasiak set a new personal record in the 3000 meter steeplechase as he finished fourth overall with a time 9:46.77. Junior Eric Graves, one of Salisbury's strongest distance runners, set a new personal record in the 1500 meter run with a time of 3:56.88 (15th place). Sophomore Josh Michael ran in the 800 meter run (1:56.02) and freshman Dustin Yourstone ran in the 5000 meter run (16:04.72) where they both finished 19th overall in their respective events. In the field events, freshman Christian Adami was seventh in the javelin with a toss of 163-9. Several members of the SU track and field program will head to Ewing, N.J. on Thursday to participate in The College of New Jersey Last Chance Meet. Spriggs will look to lower his 100 meter dash time to the low 10.60's while the men's 4x100 meter relay team will look to qualify for nationals if they can hit 41.60. McInery will give it one last shot in the 1500 meter run to see if she can qualify and make the most of her last chance. • Swarthmore Last Chance Meet Results
