Previous Page SU men's 200 free relay team recognized with All-CAC honor The Capital Athletic Conference released the All-CAC swimming teams today and the Salisbury University men's 200 freestyle relay team earned a spot for its second place finish at last weekend's championships held at St. Mary's (Md.) College. The team of senior Mike Fowler, senior Cole Mangum, junior Ross Spangler and sophomore Brad Buckley finished with a school record time of 1:28.23, less then three seconds behind York (Pa.) College. Salisbury's men's team finished third overall, a program best, at the three-day championships. The SU women's team finished in fifth place. The CAC championships were dominated once again by the University of Mary Washington who swept both the men's and women's titles for the fifth year in a row. The Eagles had 41 student-athletes or relay teams earn All-CAC honors out of a possible 36 events. The top two finishers for each event earn All-CAC honors. The UMW women's team had 25 All-CAC honors alone. There were only three events out of 36 that the Eagles didn't have a first or second place showing. UMW was also honored with the CAC Men's Swimmer of the Year, the CAC Women's Coach of the Year and the CAC Women's Rookie of the Year awards.
