Brazing

Certain metals cannot be combined by welding.  Brazing is a way to join different kinds of metal together.  Using Oxy-acetylene torch a flux coated brass rod is heated.  The melted brass fuses to the metal similarly to solder or metal glue.  The bond between he two materials is not as strong as a weld but can be more permanent than polymers.  When brazing leather glove, long sleeves , and a number five or greater shade of safety glasses should be worn.
