An oxygen and acetylene cutting torch can be used to cut metal. first the metal is heated to it's melting point than a blast of oxygen blows the molten material away in a small line. a cutting torch has a purge trigger to activate the blast that removes the molten material. When gas cutting leather gloves, long sleeves and a number five shade safety glasses should be worn. |
