Finally the finished piece is ready to be put into the annealing oven where it will anneal at around 1000°F for an hour per 1/4" of thickness. Then it will cool slowly over the course of about 8 Hrs. before it is ready to be handled again. Kevilar gloves are worn to carefully place the 900°F glass piece into the annealer. |
