| The marini must be heated slowly before it is heated in the glory hole. First the pasterelli plate is heated in the glory hole then the marini slices are placed on the warm pasterelli. A torch is used to heat the top of the slices. A slow even heat is key to keeping the glass from cracking due to thermal shock. |
