“I am dedicated to giving my students and overall education by using clay as a root for broader educational experiences.  Ceramics provides the tools for historical, technological and even socio-economic investigation.  My goal, if nothing else, is that students will gain a better understanding and appreciation of the art of ceramics and with time, if even in a small way, this will raise their level of awareness of what constitutes good art and how quality art contributes to making our environment a better place.”
