I strive to capture people’s personalities, emotions, and characteristics in my artwork. Seeing people drop the masks that they wear everyday and finally getting to their raw emotion is what draws me to focus on people’s faces. I want to catch who they are when they are unguarded, because I want show that there is more to a person than their outward appearance. The background becomes meaningless and the face is the focal point. As people, we identify others and ourselves by our face. We read emotions by looking at someone’s expression. I want each person that looks at my images to identify with them, to feel what they feel, and become a reflection of the images.
