BFA - graphic design

Throughout my life, I have always thought of myself as a creative analytical problem solver. To me, graphic design is a way to challenge myself and solve problems at hand in a creative manner. My overall goal in creating design is to make the viewer gain a new perspective or piece of the puzzle every time they look at the work. In order to do so, I consistently hide symbols and messages within designs. My designs engage the viewer, challenging them to see the hidden meanings.

In order to create designs with hidden meanings, I begin by making a list of everything that needs to be included in the work and circle the elements that can be recognized as a solid color. I then fit those elements into the negative space or combine them with the other elements. Fitting elements together in a compositional manner is what drives my creativity as an analytical problem solver and graphic designer.
