BFA - graphic design

As a designer, I approach each design by starting with only a sketchbook and pencil creating pieces to form into a final illustration. As I sketch ideas out I consider the purpose behind the design, the audience it is geared towards and how it is represented both to myself and the viewers. Drawing is one of my favorite passions and way to express myself when it comes to art since this process is a very important step in my design. By beginning from these illustrated ideas I can more successfully turn it into an eye popping design. I am inspired by everything around me, surrealism, comic book/cartoon illustrations, Minimalism and Pop Art. The techniques I use consists of a minimalistic design style using thick stroked lines, strong contrasting colors and hierarchies to create rhythm and depth within a piece to grab the viewers’ attention. This style is not limited to this because I am always up for expanding my thoughts and style in my design by any means. Creating a variety of artwork always draws attention and keeps viewers interested in my artwork.
