BFA - graphic design

I love the cleanliness and technical qualities of graphic design and its infinite uses. Graphic design solves problems by taking a message and communicating it to the world in an artistic and inspiring way. A client can come to me with an idea and I can turn it into a powerful piece of art that more people would see than a fine arts piece. To me, the most important things about design are composition, content, and impact. I believe that a good design will instantly draw attention and aesthetically captivate a target audience while not overpowering the meaning or information. When working, I try not to limit myself to a certain style to accommodate for different audiences. I tend to use simple but bold visuals, sometimes including spot colors and a focal point. I also like strange and somewhat psychedelic designs that are more colorful and intricate. I am influenced by the world around me every day by people, fashion, fine arts, colors, textures, and especially music. When I listen to a song I picture all sorts of imagery in my head that I try to incorporate into my designs. I want my designs to be what music is to me, always artistic and inspiring to others.
